Hurricane Panels come in a variety of applications from individual panels co-existing in a floating header at the top combined with a 2x2 stud angle built into the angle that is flush mounted below the window either above or below the sill. The panels are made of galvanized steel, aluminum or poly carbonate. These panels interlock every foot (approxiamtely), and attach via a wingnut system for quick connection when hurricanes are a threat. Storing the panels are just as easy under a work bench or in an attic. You will be amazed on how much more effective these custom designed panels perform versus plywood.
